A Weekend in Antique: Tibiao

After Culasi, we head by motorbike to Culasi, a 30-minute ride south. The town has been one of the most popular in Antique for years due to the adventure opportunities offered, particularly in the villages up on the hills. Here, a handful of cottages are perched by the Tibiao River, each offering the same mold of features – sleeping quarters with quaint views, river rafting, river tubing, trekking, massage, and the popular kawa hot bath.

The kawa is described as the local jacuzzi. It involves getting inside a large cauldron filled with water and warmed by fire underneath. It’s like soaking in a hot bath but looking like being that evening’s meal. It’s actually relaxing, all the more because of having a really nice view of the river especially during the golden hour.
