On a weekday afternoon, just before going to St. Luke’s Medical Center in BGC for another consultation with my doctor regarding my liver (which in itself would be a long story), my sister and I stop by Shake Shack. It’s our second time here (third if counting the one time we dined in New York City last year).
I haven’t been here since May, mostly because my liver problem kept me from eating high-fat, high-cholesterol food. And that included, of course, virtually the whole of Shake Shack’s menu.
But today I’ve decided to tempt fate a bit and order a piece of ShackBurger. Anyway, if my stomach acts up, the hospital is just a stone’s throw away. Hah.
My sister, though, is an avid meat-lover and a veggie-hater, so she orders the same as mine, though without the lettuce and tomato, and with additional bacon. She also has the Cheese Fries, which are fries drenched in cheese sauce.
It’s always a great experience dining in Shake Shack. My sister and I particularly love the extender-free patties and the brioche buns. Too bad I can’t do this more often, partly because of my liver condition, and partly because of BGC’s relatively inaccessible location (although I think the Megamall branch has already opened).
